The 3 Major Lines of the Palm

The lines of the palm vary among individuals.  Some individuals have deeper palm lines while others’ palm lines are relatively shallow.  The directions, length and position of the palm lines determine something about a person in certain aspects.  There are three major lines in the palm of the hand; the Life Line, Head Line and Heart Line.  These lines can easily be identified in the palms because they are the most prominent.  More often than not, these are the deepest lines in the palm of one’s hand.  In seeing a person’s hand, these three lines can easily be seen and noticed and they identify the three most important aspects of a person’s life.

The Life Line is the prominent line that extends from the wide space in between the thumb and the index finger swooping down towards the direction of the wrist or it can also appear cramped towards the protrusion below the thumb.  Among others, the direction of the Life Line goes across the palm.  The Life Line can appear differently among individuals.  It can be short and strong, long and clear, short but shallow, long and wavy or it can also appear as doubled or even tripled.  Aside from the direction and general appearance of the Life Line, it can also have specific markings around its edges.  In some individuals, it is marked by lines going in an upward or downward direction.  In some, this line appears broken somewhere along its course or it may appear chained.  These can all describe the general appearance of a person’s Life Line.

The Life Line is the most important line on the palm of the hand and it is always present.  Besides being the most easily identified line, it can also assist in identifying the other lines on a person’s palm.  Some palm experts believe that the Life Line has a direct relationship to the course of a person’s life.  Some even say that the Life Line can identify the length of a person’s life.  Palm readers and experts describe this line as the one that determines a person’s vitality and ability to cope up with life.  It can signify a lot of things related to how a person lives his life and the different twists and turns along the way.  The person’s ability to cope up with the stresses and challenges of his life can also be described by the Life Line.

The second major line on the palm of the hand is the Head Line.  The Head Line signifies a person’s beliefs, attitude, philosophy and general outlook on life.  It starts just above the Life Line along the side of the palm in the space between the thumb and index finger and extends horizontally across the palm.  The Head Line is always present in the palm because it is also an important line.  It can appear as deep and straight, short and strong, light and wavy, short or long and a bit upcurved and it may also look doubled.  The Head Line may also contain markings and it may appear chained, broken, forked or splits into two separate lines.  In certain individuals, it may join the Life Line while in others it is significantly separated being more distinctive. 

The Head Line represents the person’s intelligence and over-all mentality.  Because it is associated with a person’s beliefs and philosophies it is believed that a longer line that is deep and separated from the other lines on the palm signifies independence and a deeper level of intellectual ability.  It is a determinant of how well-driven a person is in life.  It is said that a person with a Head Line that is light and wavy is generally a happy go lucky person and takes things lightly contrary to another person with a Head Line that is long and up curved which signifies high standards, tough personality and a successful career that can go a long way. 

The third major palm line is the Heart Line.  It starts either below the index finger or somewhere below the middle finger.  In some individuals, it can start somewhere under the space between the index and middle finger.  It can either be long, short, doubled or broken in some.  Markings may appear along the Heart Line such as upward and downward lines while in some, it may appear chained.  The Heart Line can be found above the Head Line and extends horizontally along the edge of the palm towards the direction of the little finger.  The Heart Line determines a person’s ability to love and be loved in return.  It deals a lot about the person’s emotions and deeper feelings.  Love and affection are said to be determined through the Heart Line.  It is believed that the deeper the Heart Line, the deeper are the person’s emotions and ability to love others. 

The Heart Line is the line that deals mainly with emotions and feelings such as love, affection, attraction and compassion to other people.  It is said to be a powerful line because it can determine a person’s state of emotions.  Fortune tellers and expert palm readers can read a lot about a person’s destiny through the Heart Line.  Involvement in a certain relationship can be foretold through the Heart Line.  Also, a person’s ability to maintain a relationship can be powered by this line.  Some experts say that the person’s fate when it comes to matters concerning love life can be pre-determined through the Heart Line.

These three major palm lines are the most prominent lines that can be found in the palm of one’s hand and; more often than not, they are usually present in most people.  They signify the three most important aspects of human life which include life, philosophy and emotions.
