Types of Hands

The type of hand that a person has is also significant in palm reading.  In fact, a person’s hand can say a lot about a person’s character and type of personality.  There are five major types of hands and each one has a unique characteristic that defines a person with this type of hand.

The first type is the Pointed Hand which is characterized as and almond-shaped, round and wider at the base and gets narrower towards the tip of the fingers.  The thumb can be described as long and flexible.  In general, the hand may look pale and has shallow lines.  This type of hand projects grace and is very delicate.  A person with this type of hand can be described as lover of beauty and art.  People with these types of hands are artistic and have passion to make everything look pleasing to the eyes.

The second type is the Square Hand which is generally firm but exudes smoothness.  The palm’s width is the same as its height with an almost square base.  Lines are few but they can be described as deep and clear.  The fingers can either be short or long or have a relatively square characteristic.  People with this type of hands are usually tough, firm, strong-willed, well-balanced with solid values, energetic and practical.  An ideal occupation for an individual with Square Hands is businessman.

The third type is the Cone-Shaped Hand with characteristics of tubular fingers and a round base.  It is wider on its base and tapers a bit going up towards the direction of the fingers.  Cone-Shaped Hands appear flat.  Ideal occupations for people with this type of hands are teacher, philosopher, artist and lawyer.  Skillful characteristics include being inventive and very creative but at the same time interested with various theories.

The Spade-Shaped Hand is the fourth type and is characterized by a square base which is narrower than the top of the palm.  The fingers are relatively broad and square and may appear knotty.  A person with this type of hands usually has good manual dexterity and can do a lot of hand work all by himself.  Occupations such as mechanic and engineers are suitable for individuals with Spade-Shaped Hand because of their ability to do manual jobs effectively.

And finally the fifth hand type is the Mixed Hand which is quite difficult to define because it represents a mixture of all hand types.  The fingers have diverse characteristics and knuckles may appear smooth in some areas but reflects knottiness in some areas all at the same time.  A person with this type of hand has mixed personality of being both practical and creative at the same time.  Persons with these types of hands should consider entering the field of journalism, education and research.
